I like playing soccer. But watching is brutal. I would say soccer is more of a sport than poker and bowling because there's a real risk of injury in soccer. I mean let's face it the biggest risk of playing poker and bowling is heart disease from All the beer and processed Pork they woof down in-between frames and hands

Poker ain't no sport. Poker is about as much of a sport that Chess is.

If an 80 year old guy is competing against a 20 year old whippersnapper AND has a chance to win, it is not a sport.

They swept Penn State at Happy Valley in 1st conference game this year and won 6 straight vs Penn State. It will be a tough match. The Husker Win was only Loss Penn State has this year

had this guy at a previous job that he only considered sports: "games with a ball and the competitors actually competed in some manner where they could impact the outcome of the other competitors". so, basically, football, volleyball, etc (ping pong does fit into his definition and if you've ever seen professionals, i actually wouldn't disagree with calling it a sport).

on the flip side, he didn't consider, Track, gymnastics, cheerleading, golf, poker, etc sports. since these are more competitions against each other, but you can't impact the other persons outcome in any of these (poker you technically can, but it doesn't involve a ball).
