Crocker released, per Joe Ready, eliminating a huge hole in the secondary.

That means the Bengals have to take a safety in the first 2 Rounds. Either Mark Barron (ranked 11th) at 17th Pick or Brandon Taylor (ranked 67th) at the 53rd Pick, there's no way Harrison Smith (ranked 35th) falls to us in the 2nd Round.

The best scenario would be Smith falling, but I don't think he'll make it that far either.

Reedy says they are looking at Mays (right now) to be the man. Also Sands will see some time there as well.

We aren't picking a S in the first 3 rounds. Round 4 at the earliest. Mays, Sands and Nelson will get all the snaps.

Due to state of affairs, Crocker was the 2nd best safety on the roster.

The only plus I see right now is it'll force them to draft a safety early.

We aren't picking a S high. Lay off the pipe.

If Barron fell to 17 (probably won't) they would have to consider him......that said, if he doesn't, we can open an old can of worms.....I'd rather not.......

Or if Smith fell to us in the 2nd. But I don't think that will happen either.

Even if he is there at 17 I doubt, highly doubt we take him.

Still doubt it. Depends on if Upshaw or a CB we really like is there. Id say a S is about 4-5 on our list of what they think we need.

If it's between Upshaw and Barron, and we take Upshaw, we're morons.

I agree, but if he's there odds are he would have the most value at 17......and I'd still prefer Hightower over Upshaw, who I believe may be overrated.......
