hey coach according to over the cap website the skins have 9.8 mil in dead space

but they have DJAX on the books for 1.25 mil which i dont think is real because he played out his contract

that being said culliver costs 2.5 paea 2.5 bruton 1.6 RJF 1 mil and steiger 555,000 by my count thats 8.1 mil not 12 mil

so over the cap has it 9.8 mil which i think is wrong but be that as it may it isnt 12 mil

now for sure stieger comes off next year as does the rest if i am correct

Sadly the Djax thing does count. It was a voidable year that got voided two years ago, but stays on as cap prorate into this year. (Thanks Bruce)

um it helps to have the greastes qb in the history of the nfl

So does that make Ryan the second greatest QB of all time??

I find it priceless that the people who generally thought it was a good idea to trade up for a QB, are the ones most adamant that we shouldn't sign Kirk long term. Is there a correlation??

I think you could classify all NFL coaches as having problems with telling the truth. Especially when they're talking to the media, fans, and the public at large.

Who here on the hoop thought it was a good idea to trade what we did for Griffin?

Shouldnt the real question be... who here on the Hoop will admit they thought it was a good idea at the time. I can think of one or two who gave me the argument that the team couldnt be faulted for aspiring for greatness at the position after it was well known that the move was a failure.

While I thought the price was too high, I was supportive of the move at that time. Shows you what desperation can do.

I did not support the trade, you can't trade that many people for one guy. Not just that guy ... any guy.

Top of my head, I know Mitzy tried to argue me down on that. Thinking one or two of the crew that migrated over from FFL was of this opinion as well.

I can't say I was happy or mad about the move. I guess if I had to say I felt one way or the other. The move was gonna happen regardless how I felt, so I thought, I'll get on-board.

The things that made me think it might be a good/great move for the Skins.

1) Everyone lauded how smart Griffin was
2) While a running QB. I thought he was the best throwing/most accurate QB who could run since Steve Young.
3) He seemed emotionally and mentally mature.

The Things that made me think it wouldn't work.
1)Griffin wasn't so smart. In fact, he turned out to be a hard-head.
2) His refusal to protect himself and to take advantage of the rules of the game.
3) He was neither emotionally or mentally mature.
