I think he would if he could renegotiate his deal but the MLBPA has been dead set against changing salaries for trades and would never allow a precedent to be set.

It isn't about money for him. He loves Seattle and dosen't want to move his family.

Felix will never have any chance of becoming a good pitcher again if he can't realize he isn't 25 anymore and his stuff isn't good enough for him to make mistakes in the middle of the zone. He really needs to look at what Corey Kluber is and work to become that instead of insisting he's still king of the castle.

More like 3rd or 4th at this rate. Giving up early on three of the last four starts? That is NOT "ace material."

The injuries he suffered last year have affected him big time, more than anyone cares to notice, and it's time to consider this. He's not in any shape to be traded; he needs to retire.

Yeah, if it’s not there anymore though a change has to be made , but Felix is an emotional dude, kinda feeds of emotion, that’s why I think he’d do well in the post season if given the opportunity ...

I don't think they can since he has enough required time in the pros. If my understanding of vet contracts is correct. Yet yes, I do agree he should be in Tacoma refining his skills.

Any trade of Felix at this point would probably upset fans. I remember very recently how much the mariners sucked and Felix was wasting his talents similar to ichiro. Unlike Ichiro we were happy for him that he was traded to NY and he was able to play in the playoffs. That would be pretty messed up for us to trade him away as soon as we are good enough to make the playoffs. Its not like we have a handful of prospect pitchers itching to get the call up from the minors. Starting pitching seems to be playing above their game with guys like Leblanc and Gonzales so we need whoever we can get just in case someone gets hurt or comes back down to earth

Something I know he'd never go for is if they can do a deal for another starter put Felix in the pen to strengthen the bullpen. I know Felix has blown this year but I'd still rather Felix come into a game with all of his adrenaline pumping as opposed to ever seeing Nicassio pitching in a high leverage spot again.

He really has until the all-star break to at least find a quality start and look like he's starting to get that transition to more of a location pitcher. If not, they can/should go get an arm and he's really got to be the odd man out at this point.

It be nice for him to get a quality start tomorrow. I'd be happy if Felix could go 6 and give up 2 or 3 runs cause that would keep us in the game and a shot to steal one to start the series.
