Without his injuries?

I think he would have improved his shooting greatly, and with his incredible athleticism, competitiveness, drive, etc., become a top 20 of all time player.
Just my opinion.

He was a great player before the injuries. While he was able to continue as a valuable role player, those who didn't see him early on really missed out.

His last full season before the slew of injuries, he averaged 26 ppg on 49% shooting with the Pistons.

I think we would have seen more seasons like that, and a lot less of the 13 ppg seasons.

Idk about top 20 all time, but he would have been up there.

He was already 28 when he went down, so he was pretty close to his peak.

He was the best small forward in the league at the time. Was he gonna be a LeBron or MJ? No.

Maybe half a step behind Durant.

From Wiki

"After the first six seasons of his career, before his ankle injury, Hill had a total of 9,393 points, 3,417 rebounds and 2,720 assists. Oscar Robertson, Bird, and LeBron James are the only three players in league history to eclipse these numbers after their first six seasons."

Grant Hill, IMO, would have been considered an all-time great, had he had a full career and was injury free. His skill set was incredible. He was a gifted scorer, passer, ball handler, rebounder and defender. He did it all. He would have been considered easily ahead of Kevin Durant.

He didn't completely dominate a game like say Lebron, so I think Lebron would be a bit ahead of him in that aspect. However Hill was about as well rounded of a player as the NBA has ever seen. I think top 20 would probably be about right.

15 to 20. Possibly Top 10 if he really got on a championship role. Like Zooky said, his early years were just as good as Lebron. That's no statistical fluke. He'd be right up there Kobe and Duncan as best players from that time span

Could've been a couple seasons around thirty when he may have elevated himself as an outside shooter. Threat off the dribble ended before he got more comfortable shooting from the outside. Which he never did a ton of anyway. But maybe he would've with guys a half step back? We'll never know.

His first three or four years in Orlando would've been his best imo. Glad I got to watch him as much as I did. Helluva career, not many guys play till they're forty.

Sometimes it seems like he played so long, due to having all the off time recovering. I know that seems odd, but his body got rest while other greats played deep into the playoffs year after year.

How many times was he on the active roster for a playoff series win?

I guess it comes down to how much different would his teams have been into his mid thirties?
