You're right at face value they smoked us. This is really a 2 or 3 year evaluation. If Cleveland offered a first now (which has been confirmed) can you imagine what he's worth in a year if he has a 27/3 Foles type first year? We could get pick 5 for him. So Foles and a 2nd for pick 5 all of a sudden is a steal. You really can't rate this one for two years. I didn't even get into what if Foles goes 15/15 and looks average.

Its fine to think the Eagles got smoke in the trade, and you can make a case for it.

The thing is I really don't think these things happen in a vacuum. You can be sure that every team that needed a QB (Tampa, Tennessee, Houston, Buffalo, Oakland, Cleveland, St. Louis, Philadelphia) was aware that both Bradford and Foles were being shopped. If a better deal was to be had for either player, this deal wouldn't have happened. At the end of the day, the market for Bradford was more than the market for Foles.
