Farquhar again! Avg's 2 k's an inning. How does this guy have an ERA over 4 and a half?
Had some bad innings earlier in the season. Started to come around in July.

Nows the time. Don't blow the M's gift.Struck out the side - M's win! - the table is set Rangers! Let's do it!
Here are some posts from the M's-A's game over at MLB.com. Just hilarious:
muldhoon1:there is almost no one in that stadium. Looks like about 5000 or so. Fair weather fans.
GriffeyPDXOakland never draws in a crowd and thats not too much worse than a daytime home game for the Ms.
original57:
That's because they're all out in the parking lot slashing tires and mugging elderly ladies.
and across the bay the giants always seem to have a full house even when they get blown out 12-1
Put 30k fans in AT&T park and its 3/4 full. Put all those fans in the Coliseum and its 1/2 empty. AT&T is 13 years old and the coliseum is almost 50.
you can't find 30K Oakland fans. it doesn't matter how old the stadium is you should be able to draw 25 to 30k fans when you're battling for a division and playoff spot
well that lineup should get it done
Stadium location is also a huge factor. OAK is trying to move to areas around the Bay where people with money live and do not wish to drive into the area where the OCO stadium is located. The SF Giants are also trying to keep OAK from moving into any areas where they have "rights". It is a tough situation for the OAK FO to find a decent place to build a new stadium that will draw using "government" money of course. The only thing you can count on if OAK was to win the WS in the existing stadium is some sort of riot and looting.Maybe, but AT&T is rated #2 as best stadium to watch a game and the Coliseum is #1 as the worst place to watch a game.
This might help both Murphy and Moreland if they sit for 4 games or so. I keep hoping one or both will suddenly catch fire and string some hits together for a couple weeks. Alas it may not be this season the way it is looking.Hope so. If it does, then we could see it for the next four games, since tonight is the first of five consecutive games against a left-handed starter.

It's the worst place to watch a game because it's in Oakland. Seriously, there is not a more vile, disgusting, and useless city in the US. It deserves to be wiped off the map completely. Whoever the idiot was in that lonestarball thread who said Oakland was a top city should be wiped off with it. Google "worst places to visit in the US" and Oakland makes the top 10 in every site listed. Fun facts about Oakland:
#1 in US in armed robbery
#3 in US in total violent crime
#9 in US in property crime
Top 10 among "major" US cities in poverty
#3 in US in % of adults without a HS diploma
Only 3 major cities finished in the very bottom of all major statistical crime and quality of life categories: Detroit, Cleveland, and Oakland. Of those, Oakland had the worst average score across the board. Even bankrupt Detroit and notoriously awful Cleveland are better than Oakland.
It was only appropriate that their stadium flooded with sewage earlier in the season because it fills up with sewage dressed as fans any time the A's play a home game.
Good start Derek. Get him some runs boys.
Detroit is pretty bad.
Saw where Jason Heyward had to leave the Braves game after being hit in the jaw with a pitch. Yikes!
