I'm looking at the bottom of the wild card or the 3rd team..... I just want the Rangers to get a spot if we need it. We had Homefield last year and it didn't help us. The game is a total crapshoot....

Aiming for a WC ... whether first or second WC ... is like shooting for a C. Too easy to miss out altogether and fail for the season. Right now the only two teams that need to be on TEX radar in addition to itself are BOS and DET. Don't worry what is going on behind it.

Both BAL and TBR are behind it ... but BAL has more games to go against BOS so my thinking is we want BAL to play tough against TBR to stay in the hunt so they make it very tough on BOS. TEX doesn't play BOS again ... but BAL certainly does. TEX does not want to be the #3 division winner. Better is #2 ... Best is #1.

Of course, I want the division and the best playoff matchup possible, but I don't want to see Oakland narrowly edge us out for the west and see a 4-5 team race for the WC in the final week. I'm just hoping the 2nd wildcard is easily attainable
