Just saw that the Dodgers DFA Crawford who is owed about 34 MM this year and next.

And they are the only dumb $hit$ to pick up multiple toxic contracts on waivers. So no help for them there as there is no other organization as stupid as they are....well maybe the old Yankees...

Maybe Preller will run a half way house for toxic DFAs this year. Worth a try.

Texas is playing their best baseball. Keep it going please. Going 7-2 vs the Pirates, Indians, and Mariners was very impressive.

As long as we continue to keep the 'little Hobbit' (Altuve) off the bases we will do fine.

Looks like we are in their GM's head for sure!

Yeah that was weird. Even AJH mentioning their losing streak against us. That just puts more pressure on the young team.

Hinch strikes me as a guy that says dumb shit often. IDK why I feel that way, but just my assessment

Im just not sure he's physically as capable as he once was, very difficult to adjust when age, injury and his body type are all things that COULD be factors in his demise. Getting older sucks, I know first hand now. The young guys always stay about the same age and I just keep getting older, dammit!

That extra poundage is not helping. You can muscle through that extra weight as a 20 something, but around 30 it starts getting to you. If he shed some real weight like 40-50 lbs he would feel better and play better.

  • Rangers GM Jon Daniels talks to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News about the 2006 draft, which was Daniels’ first in charge of the Texas front office. While the Rangers found some good talent in that draft class, their first-round pick was rather a notable miss. Daniels said his team was eyeing Tim Lincecum with the 12th overall selection but the Rangers were surprised when the Giants drafted Lincecum tenth overall. Texas instead took high school lefty Kasey Kiker, who never made it higher than Double-A and has been out of pro ball since 2012.
I think that was a surprising pick by some because he was like 5'10" and around 180 lbs and many thought that for the most part guys his size did not last long as pitchers.

This is the scenario where I have no problem with Prince getting playing time, at the expense of Moreland. I'd rather have Moreland than Prince due to fielding alone, but if we're going to go down the road of Prince trying to play his way out of his funk (if that's even a real possibility), then the only guy that doesn't represent just a massive loss would be Moreland.

At least it's not Fielder and Mitch in the lineup at the same time.
