I watch teh video and I just dont see the head shot sorry. maybe you have a different angle please send it for review.

well its a definite head shot ... no arguing that

but it wasnt blindside ... not saying it was a perfectly clean hit morally speaking but the rules say thats a hockey hit ... if it was timed right

head hits are currently legal if thrown during a north south non blindside hit

+1 - get rid of blindside/north-south garbage, change to all head shots

Hitting someone in the head is not a part of hockey.

well the NHL agrees anyway hes gone for the series its done with. i see a close up and I see the shoulder not hit the head the damage comes from him going down hard but we are not horton or rome so we dont know.

of course it shouldnt be ... but it currently is ... but when the league sends out videos to players showing hitting to the head is sometimes legal what do you expect?

and he gets 4 playoff games based on severity of injury? when did this enter the equation in determining suspension? plus whatever happened to first time offender status? Romes never been suspended nor fined for anything

the NHL needs to overhaul everything about the disciplinary process and lay it all out there for everyone to understand, especially for the players

I'm just a Sharks fan rooting for Boston but to me, teh suspension is kind of long but not really surprised. Rome was a dumbass for doing what he did and Vancouver fans will happily take the trade-off (3rd line D-man for top line scorer) any day... especially with ready & able replacement defensemen (plural) capable of stepping in for the rest of the series...

NHL definitely said the wrong thing afterwards, though... Severity of injury should play no part in it and they made it sound like it did... /shrug
