well its a definite head shot ... no arguing that

but it wasnt blindside ... not saying it was a perfectly clean hit morally speaking but the rules say thats a hockey hit ... if it was timed right

I get that. I just don't want those type of hits in the game anymore. Rule change is necessary.

I agree ... and its supposed to be coming this offseason

Bryan Murray says recommendation is to take blindside out of Rule 48 make it more about general hits to head.

I can't say I'm surprised...When you build a team around truculence, belligerence and pugnacity, that will likely include some hits to the head.

can anyone help me out here? there is a picture of Burke out there from when he was a player (possibly AHL), where his head is bleeding like a stuck pig. It's an awesome picture, but doesn't show up on GIS anymore.
