Insurance policies cover only portions of players salaries and not the huge loss in revenue a team loses in attendance drops. A team like the Rangers missing so many key players and are virtually out of contention means fans don't show up. Shouldn't affect paying players for the future however, you have to put the product on the field to keep asses in seats. Hard to expect an ROI with no spending at a all. Gotta be smart but you cant close up the checkbook.
