This idea that there are lots of Redskins fans who have serious doubts about Cousins is a joke. Sure - it remains to be seen whether he can sustain his success but the future looks bright, and I am not worried & neither are most fans who I know.

Let's be real - the people who have these doubts are the ones with man crushes on RG3 and are more a fan of him than the Redskins. Some of these loons even go as far as hoping the that Redskins do poorly with Cousins. Stymie you have one of the biggest man crushes I have ever seen on RG3 (you can deny all that you like) & went as far as making ridiculous claims that the Redskins would retain him (when everyone else knew that would never happen).

Let RG3 go already & at least hope that Cousins does well (the boxer analogy was lame). Please don't act like you know exactly how this will play out while lots of people with NFL knowledge state that Cousins is a pretty good QB and growing all of the time. We will see.

The knock on him was always about throwing too many INTs. He had only 3 picks in his last 10 games & only 11 overall so he has at least shown that he can be successful and avoid the turnovers. Will this continue - who knows? Sure -the competition will be more fierce this season & people will be ready for Cousins. However - he now has a new weapon & any improvement in the running game will help. We will see.

I really have no clue how bad the run defense will be this year. It may be better, with a better secondary and Joe Berry having more options to scheme against defenses. However, we may feel the loss of Pot Roast and Hatcher more than the new additions. Not sure...

My question is, do you guys think there will be options between now and training camp to pick up an okay center and possibly some Dlinemen through free agency? To at least help plug some holes.

NO doubt there will be some free agents out there. But with the new cap structure, you wont really see alot of real starting caliber players released for cap reasons going forward. The guys getting released will be guys that were not performing up to their current deals that teams felt they were better without. So what i expect is the Andre Roberts of the world. Guys who were getting over paid, under performed and you wouldnt really start unless you had no other option.

I get the feeling we sink or swim with the guys we currently have in house. The hope is likely that Murphy can contribute, as well as Hood and a few of the others plus the rookie. I joke about us running a 1-4-6 defense, but I would not be shocked to see a tad bit of the 2-5-5 or some form of hybrid defense alot this year. As a straight up 3-4 or even 4-3, the talent we have on the D-line is rather limited.

Thanks Shark. I wonder if the Redskins will be watching the market and see if others like Norman become available. If they feel Kendall Fuller is okay to play and Culliver will not be back enough from his injury, they could release Culliver with his $8 million salary. Then go after some of these other players with the additional cap money.

Culliver and Fuller are kind of in the same boat though. Both are recovering from knee injury.

Culliver is a candidate to get released for cap reasons, but any one we pick up at this point is likely a one year rental type deal. So its a wait and see for the most part. And Im hoping we are not to the point where we are banking on some starting talent to get released by another team.

And correction... that should have read I would not be shocked to see a tad bit of the 2-5-4 defense.... damn fat fingers.
