The double by Choi was a little high; the double by Lowe was just a bad, bad pitch...
UNAPPROVED so far.
UNAPPROVED so far.
So, you expect a miracle then?A few pitching mistakes and it looks like the Giants offense will have to earn their money.

But they can be less stressful than years where you hope to competeRebuild years are tough...
It was raining baseballs in the 1st inning. Does that count?Heavy rainfall would have been good today.
But there hasn't really been anything showing much on base prowess on this team so far (not even Belt) this year. If we had just a few guys who got on base at a good clip, it would not nearly be as frustrating.Bases loaded, no outs. And we get (drum roll please), NOTHING! I am shocked! A called strike three and a GIDP. At least it wasn't on the first pitch.
OBP is overrated if nobody can drive those players in. This Giants' team (so far, and since July 2016) all have tiny sphincters with runners in scoring position.) I want guys who can hit and drive in runs. Who cares whether they get on base a lot?
Pillar looks like he will fit right in with this group of hackers.
I've been incredibly frustrated by his moves so far, but I've decided to that I've got to realize that this is not the year the youngsters are going to play. It may be that FZ is going to honor Bochy by letting him have all the veteran presence that his heart desires. Thus, the Kratz and Pillar pick ups. I wouldn't be surprised, as much as it pains me to say it, that we see more veteran castoffs land in SF and not see many guys come up from the farm.FZ is not earning his salary yet.
