The double by Choi was a little high; the double by Lowe was just a bad, bad pitch...

UNAPPROVED so far.

A few pitching mistakes and it looks like the Giants offense will have to earn their money.

Pillar should hit a grand slam, no problem.

Bases loaded, no outs. And we get (drum roll please), NOTHING! I am shocked! A called strike three and a GIDP. At least it wasn't on the first pitch.

OBP is overrated if nobody can drive those players in. This Giants' team (so far, and since July 2016) all have tiny sphincters with runners in scoring position.) I want guys who can hit and drive in runs. Who cares whether they get on base a lot?

Pillar looks like he will fit right in with this group of hackers. :L

Wasn’t the triple play in ‘16 against the Rays?

But there hasn't really been anything showing much on base prowess on this team so far (not even Belt) this year. If we had just a few guys who got on base at a good clip, it would not nearly be as frustrating.

Sandoval's bat is the only one that has hit well this season, so far. Is there any way to get him more reps at 3rd? Belt's bat is decent and Duggar is getting hot. Everyone else is rather pathetic (at best).

FZ is not earning his salary yet.
I've been incredibly frustrated by his moves so far, but I've decided to that I've got to realize that this is not the year the youngsters are going to play. It may be that FZ is going to honor Bochy by letting him have all the veteran presence that his heart desires. Thus, the Kratz and Pillar pick ups. I wouldn't be surprised, as much as it pains me to say it, that we see more veteran castoffs land in SF and not see many guys come up from the farm.
If this is the FO's plan, then I may have more grace for the awful transactions. However, 2020 needs to have a shift in how things go or I'm really going to think that FZ is a Dodger mole.

On a separate, but related note, does the September roster expansion rule change go into effect this year or next year? I hate that rule and not just for the young guys that otherwise wouldn't get a major league shot. I hate it because what if a team has 5 or 6 guys ready to come off the dl in late August/early September. It really messes up some teams' playoff aspirations.
