They have been the same goalie all season. I'll take a backup goalie and an additional low first round pick any day than two struggling starters.

I'd still rather have Bob. Younger, cheaper, FAR more upside, and doesn't seem to get rattled as easily. If the defense stops hanging him out to dry (happened 2/3 times again tonight), he'll be fine.

If he goes back to the Vezina-finalist form he had a few years ago? Certainly. However, I think that Bob is the better option for the next 5+ years.

I understand that he is getting paid a lot to be a backup, and that he has his own brainfarts at times -- I just have a gut feeling that we will regret it if we deal him. Or maybe that's just indigestion?
