I thought that the Angels and Astros were tied at 2 games behind us in the loss column. So the Angels and Astros both have to lose to cut it to 3. We just need to win. Felt like we had to finish the season 4-3 to win this thing anyway.

That left Oliver Perez and Pat Neshek to face the middle of the Mariners order in the 8th. Just 3 outs away from being back to 2.5 games up on Houston.

The mariners just did the Rangers a huge favor! The magic number is now 3. Let's hope the formula is 1 win against the Tigers and 1 against the Angels. Tomorrows game(s) become even more important. We need that magic number at 2 when the Angels come to town.
