Right to Blue Jackets' management's face:

NHL: The cure for the Blues | BlueJackets Xtra

“I wanted to get into a place where I felt good about the business, where I could build personal relationships,” Hitchcock said. “Maybe it’s my age (60), or the year or so away from the game, but I wanted more out of this than just the wins and losses now. This is a great spot for me in that respect.”

To me this says: "Yeah, in Columbus I just felt like some guy with an office. Nobody there really gave a shit about me. "

“Our first game together, we shut out Chicago,” Hitchcock said. “Three nights later, we beat Detroit. When you’re in Columbus, you forget who people’s rivals are, but to these guys it was a big deal.

To me this says "Columbus doesn't even register on anyone's radar as a 'rival'".

I miss ye, Capn' Kangaroo. I want the Blues to come out of the West.

With home ice advantage (and a boisterous crowd behind them), all they have to do is take care of business on home ice and they will come out of the West.

/Easier said then done I realize, but I think they only lost 4 games at home all season (plus one playoff game to the Sharks).
