I gave up on him last year but when he had those two good games last year I went from thinking he was never going to make it to You never know and now at least there is hope for him . Just goes to show you never know ...

Average 7.5 yds/carry in 2 preseason games that is scary good ... Elway seems to be smarter each day .

My problem with him when we drafted him is he use to seek out defender and try and run them over ..good for the bus bad for little guys like him ....

Glad for him ...Glad for Broncos !

He's shown a lot of promise and I think he'll excel in this offense. Imagine him coming in late or after a series where CJ just punishes the defense. Then bring in the fast guy and...This offense is shaping up to be just awesome.

What's crazy is most RB's when they come into the league either have it or they don't. IT is one of the few positions that really translates very quickly. Hillman though has grown each year and is now emerging as a guy that could have a big year. Very interested to see how this all goes for him. Hopefully he can stay healthy and hopefully can hold onto the ball. I see those being his biggest obstacles from having that breakout year.

He did score a TD at the age of 20 in the NFL - so he is still very young. Looking forward to watching him play this year.

I have to admit, I was real sour on Hillman. He looks like he's turned the corner and is actually becoming the dynamic player they envisioned. Right in time for his contract to pretty much expire, go figure

I am cautiously optimistic for Hillman this year. My biggest thing with him and I am afraid at some point it will show up again is that he will have a very costly fumble. I know he hasn't fumbled as much as of late but I have watched him in these last couple of games and honestly he has been very lucky not to have fumbled. He still too often when he hits traffic either refuses to move the ball to his other arm or refuses to cover up with both arms (this is what I would prefer). I think he is just too worried about losing his speed that he just forgets he is carrying that ball to be punched out.

The other issue with him is health. I like him in the complimentary role but I do worry if he would ever be asked to be the starter. I just don't think he is made to hold up for more than 4 games of actual high volume carries.

Actually, I thought he looked much better in all games when he came back and before he got hurt. He was running with more power between tackles than he ever had and he's continued it so far this yr. Adding some weight and muscle and hitting the films has been good for him. I agree with Cd about his lack of good ball security when he gets into traffic. He needs to put both arms around ball when expecting contact and I def noticed esp last wk that he was not doing that at times. That`s the quickest way to get himself back in doghouse if he coughs it up early on in reg season. I`am def rooting for him because he does give Denver that element to get around the corner better than any of the others. Also he`s got good hands in the pass game as well. He could very well have his best yr as a Bronco. Go Aztecs!!

Is preseason considered one word ?

yes

I have one word for the Hillman Bandwagoneers:

PRESEASON

Not much of a fan, and if we could get a late pick for him at this point, I wish we'd do it ....

If we're talking about this preseason then maybe but if you watched him play last you couldn't help but see how much better he ran. So it's carry over from last till now. He looks very good to me so far. Trade Ball if need trade someone.:)

My least favorite Hillman game was the Colts Sunday night game.

He (2 fumbles) and Kevin Vickerson (2 or 3 personal foul penalties) killed us.

Yeah that game should not have gone like it did. I felt bad for Manning as it was his coming home game and some on the team just failed him miserably. I almost hated Vickerson's personal foul than I did Hillman's fumble. Vickerson while he had some great moments his going beyond the whistle crap cost us more than once.

CJ and Hillman - I think that is a great 1-2 punch.
