Surprising. Must have had a bad off-season. We have a lot of TE's competing, but I figured he would be one of those bubble guy with a good shot to earn the last spot.

It's the uncertainty of the TE spot and how early it was in camp that made me think he really had no shot.

Kind of surprising, but I won't lose sleep over it.

From what I understand he hadn't really improved on his blocking. They gave him a year to prove he could round out his game and that just didn't happen. Still though I am a bit shocked as I don't think he was the worst TE on the team right now.

We as fans don't get to see practice and offseason activity among the players so I'd have agreed with you. Caught me by surprise but Denver thought otherwise.

Good kid. I use to sit by his mom and his cousins (George Kittle's family as they are cousins) at football games.

At Iowa he was pretty much good at everything but great at nothing. I figured at worst the PS again. Boy, he had us fooled.

He also could have been used as a wake up call to the rest of the TE's that they are not messing around. From the sound of it no TE has really emerged as a stand out player through the first few days. Not what I was hoping to hear.
