Man sorry to hear about all that. Hopefully things have gotten at least a little better with the personal/family/job stuff since you posted this last month. You're one of the good guys, so I have a feeling it'll all work out soon.

Reading up on the thread, you just got a healthy new addition! Congrats and hopefully the little guy is helping with some of the recovery :).

All that aside, it's awesome to see you back and hopefully you can stay but it's understandable if not. You're a top contributor here that's for sure.

Personally, I've lost a lot of interest in watching the M's this season and barely even lurked here the past few months. Probably spent more time lurking/shitposting in the politics forum and lost many brain cells because of it. Thanks M's!

Glad you're back.

Much appreciated. In all honesty, your post a month or so back asking about me is what got me back on here (yes fellas you can blame ehwq for that). I had no plans to return this year or maybe ever, but the post made me feel good again and not just for being here but in general so I think you for that.

I will always fight my demons, but I have made a great turnaround from last year about this time. I just need to keep up the momentum. My newest grandson Paxton should help with that. Nothing makes you feel more alive then having a grandchild spit up all over you while eating out and he got me good today. :)

You are not alone in the lost interest department with these guys. A fan can only take so much. Even through all this garbage, please visit here when you can. I am not the only one on here that thinks you are a valued member to our tragedy page called the Mariners. Misery loves company as they say.

Again thanks for everything and great chatting with you again.

Man, sounds like a rollercoaster @NWinAZ with way more downs than ups lately. Sorry to hear it. You're a good guy and I enjoy your posts. Life sure has its moments. Our youngest is certainly testing my mettle and I had to change jobs over the winter moving from the Casinos to now working for a major hospital.

Clearly I'm not around much these days because I as well just can't take this team right now. Kept kind of halfway creeping back toward at least a playoff berth in recent years only to once again walk off the cliff back to being who they always are. I'll follow them every spring like I have since they formed, but some years I just don't have the stomach to go through all the bad games. I mean it's not the losing, it's the purely bad baseball. Comically bad. I just can't torture myself with it.

There are a lot of communities up here and the M's faithful are the least trolling and least infighting of the ones I've spent any time around. Even despite the one poster that used to drive a lot of us nuts up here. Misery loves company. There's comfort in the sharing of the experience even if the end result is always 100% the same.

Hopefully things turn around soon. I went a year and a half without working back in 2010 during the darkest parts of the economy after the housing crash and despite not really having financial hardships over it, it sure didn't feel good waking up every day to that reality. The stress was overwhelming. Fast forward and I'm now two months away from paying this house off and still just holding on for dear life to survive my last kid. The coaster never really does smooth out lol.

Much appreciated post. It sounds like you also have had the experiences of life and you know I am sure how hard it is to get out of it sometimes. The truth of the matter is that I have actually been better since coming back on here. That has zero to do with the Mariners, but a lot to do with the people on this board like yourself. I am so glad you got it back on track and I hope to follow in your footsteps.

I am not sure of your age, but hanging with my 5 year grandson tires me out mentally and physically so best of luck to you with your son...lol. Again, I really appreciate your kind words and your story. It shows once again I am not alone in the ups and downs of the world and maybe I am being selfish but knowing that really helps.

Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being selfish at times. We all need to fill our gas tank when our tank is getting low. One of the greatest things about threads like this is the anonymous support we get from others who only know us through our posts and because of that, when we get strokes from others, they have a special meaning IMO. We have a shared interest in Mariner's baseball and I really think most posters on here care about their fellow posters AND their opinions whether or not we share those opinions. :thumb:
