Jordan Hill with a hyper-extended knee. If he misses time I imagine Boozer will go back to starting for a short while along with Davis with Kelly and Black coming off the bench.

That performance made it seem like the Lakers are just going to tank it this year.

seems to me they are winning just enough to hand a top 10 pick to phoenix. pretty clear they wont be a playoff team. and winning just enough they wont get a top 5 pick.

I don't think they gave up until recently. You can keep complaining if that makes you feel better though.

lol just because we don't see eye to eye on every topic no reason to be a whatever it is your being. ill just say with the stakes high with the pick I think management knew they wouldn't make playoffs. handing a top 10 pick to the suns isn't going to help team get better. maybe management just decided to give up pick and call it a day. sure they could possibly still get top 5...but chances are slim

Hill out means Sacre returns to minutes played even with Black in the rotation..

No clue what you're talking about, I'm just pointing out how much I've seen you complain.

not the kind of kobe performance you would hope for after the rest he's gotten.

I've come to the conclusion rest for him is useless until someone sits him down to work on adjusting his game. His shot selection (really all year) has been terrible. For example, Kobe has never shot the 3 ball all that well and he's especially bad this year. Several times last night he dribbled up and shot a 3 with a defender right in his face. It wasn't in the flow of the offense or anything. He just decided to shoot a 3. Given his history, that has little chance of going in if he's wide open much less with a hand in his face.

He's depended on his athleticism for years to get the rim. He's lost a step and he can't get there that much anymore so he's settling for a lot of bad midrange shots. If he wants to continue to play for the next couple of years, he has to change his approach to how he gets his offense. Look at others in his age range, Dirk, Duncan, etc. The shots they get are now shots mostly created for them through creative offense. There's movement designed to get them the ball on a spot of the floor where they are effective. But Kobe oftentimes creates his own shots, using a series of dribbles, upfakes, and step throughs to get off a shot. That's too labor intensive to sustain for a player his age. He could do it at 27, not 37. While he's been better at passing the ball over the last month or so to his teammates, he still needs to adjust how gets his own numbers. No amount of rest will help his numbers unless he changes how to get those numbers.

If the Suns don't get this year's pick then they get the Lakers 2016 pick (top 3 protected 2016 and 2017). Obviously a top-5 pick this summer would be great for the rebuild, but eventually the Lakers have to give up that first rounder.

The better year would be either 16 or 17. That way we can get a first rounder this upcoming draft and sign Love and Monroe this summer. Then we have some really nice pieces to contend. Kobe and Nash will both be gone and the team can continue to get on with the rebuild in full bore mode. Mitch is pretty good at picking up excellent second rounders. So 16 and 17 are the years we give that number one to Phoenix.
