Funny how it's only an issue when it's a star player, Crosby, OV, Brady or Manning I guess the rest of the players don't mean a shit.

Before you go off on me take a look at history and you will see this to be true. They are contact sports and if you can't take it get the hell out, I'm not for head hunting but it does seem that way. If it was Avery, Kaleta or Niel it's no big deal.

I like them. No, fuck that. I fucking love them. I love watching them on repeat for hours on YouTube. Remember that hit Richards put on Booth? Yeah, I ruined a sock or two re-running that one. I personally would discontinue watching any hockey if they took head shots out of the game. Also, my other interests include but are not limited to:

- Discovering new edible uses for anti-freeze
- Dew mouth (my personal all-time favorite, Google it if need be)
- Doing donuts at the local Circle K in my '86 Camaro (T-top, yeah they see me rollin', they hatin')
- Being unemployed
- Paiting flames on the side of my trailer to honor Jeff Gordon
- Wearing faded, off color sweats with socks & sandals like it is law (cowboy boots in the winter)
- Mutton chops
- Lol @ sandals/boots comments. Like I fucking wear shoes.

Yes, I am the head shot fan. And as you see from my interests am I prototypical in every way. Fellow head shot brethren I say do not let the winds of change deter you. Much like we squashed the teaching of evolution out of our schools (and hopefully soon reading, too) we will squash all the nay sayers on head shots.

Darkstone, that is my big soapbox, although it is mostly in the NFL. If a player is wearing a helmet properly (this is more for football because it's more all encompassing helmet, etc.) it should NEVER be jarred off in a hit or just fall off during play. Every time you see a player lose their helmet during play, I can guarantee they weren't wearing the chin strap properly and that the helmet is too big for them. There's really no point in wearing these things unless they're worn properly.

Any hit to the head needs to be penalized/reviewed for suspension, none of this "blindside, lateral, east west "shit. Incidental hits should be 2 minutes tops, if it can't be avoided. ie.. Steckel/Crosby, Thornton/Perron. A hit to the head is a hit to the head and needs to stop. Plus the concrete laden shoulder pads being worn today need to go as well. Just my opinion.

What happens when one player is 6'5" and the other is 5'10". The head is at shoulder level. The taller guy should be banned from hitting completely, for fear of incidental head shots. You can tell when someone is targeting the head. The refs are not idiots.
