Looks like we locked him up for 3 years at 9.15 million. This guy was money last year, so great to him re signed!

Hauschka is a good kicker, but I am not a fan of investing that much of the Cap in that position.

Damn that seems like a lot for a kicker, I thought 2 to 3 mil would be as high as they would go, but 9m damn.

Had him as my fantasy kicker and was very pleased. He was always accurate. The guy rededicated himself and got stronger last year. I am sure you guys knew that already. It was not common knowledge in my part of the country. I jumped all over him in my draft.

Same here, he helped me win our FF league on this board. Also Seattle struggled to get into the end-zone at the start of the season so he put up some points.

That's the standard number for a premier kicker. We could always go cheap and pick up a rookie kicker at 1 mil a year or a not as good vet for 1-2 mil a year

...but those guys are the ones that make you nervous when they line up for a crucial 4th quarter kick. With Hauschka you know he's going to make it. That's worth the extra 1 mil a year in my opinion.

it's middle of the road for the NFL in terms of salary. He's the 11th highest paid kicker. That's not bad.

I would up a little extra in a kicker believe me you dont think much about them until they hit a 50 yard field goal

Haush did make the call not to kick the field goal in the NFC title game telling Pete the wind was too strong… And we all know what happened on the next play!!! He was money all year… very good kicker..

If the NFL follows through and makes extra point kicks 42 yards, I am all for having a proven kicker, even if it costs a little more than I would hope the Hawks spent on that position.

He's been automatic for us. Glad he's onboard for 2014 with a very fair deal.

Go Hawks!!!

I knew they'd get a deal done. It's good to know that he's gonna be here a few more years.

One less thing for the Seahawks to worry about. Good news.

Looking real good going into the draft. All the key pieces for another SB run are already in place.

Agreed. With the Seahawks offense still having issues punching the ball into the end zone, you need a kicker that you know is going to make it. 33/35 is pretty much as good as it gets. Last year both games he had misses in the Seahawks lost. A few more misses and maybe the Seahawks finish 11-5 instead of 13-3 and they have to play at Green Bay/Carolina/SF to get to the Super Bowl. That money is well spent, IMO.
