As for Realmuto, I hear you on the Marlins asking a kings ransom (don't blame you one bit about not wanting to surrender Sixto), so if the Reds can get him for:

Johnathan India
Tucker Barnhart
and a couple other lower level prospects, I am all for it.

Cincinnati's lineup would be stacked this year (question is did any of the rotation help make a difference):

RF Winker / Puig / Senzel
CF Puig / Senzel / Schebler
1B Votto / Senzel
3B Suarez / Senzel / Farmer
C Realmuto / Cassali / Farmer
LF Kemp / Winker / Senzel
2B Gennett / Senzel
SS Peraza / Blandino / Senzel

With Senzel giving most those guys a breather each week and getting 6 starts a week himself. That is good depth throughout that lineup. Would be one of the best offenses in the NL.

Sixto can go as far as I am concerned. Realmuto helps the Phillies NOW! We must get Realmuto!

Too early to dump Alfaro, 25, .262/.324. Realmuto, 27, .277/.340 is good with 21 homers but Phils would not make a switch like this.

I don't mind keeping Kemp. It would be nice to make sure Senzel has a place to move to, but Kemp and Gennett will be gone next year and in the meantime Senzel can be a super utility getting 6 starts a week by playing 1B, 2B, 3B, LF, CF, and RF. I just saw it as more of a win for the Phillies instead of going after Harper. I think Harper is a cancer waiting to happen to whatever team gives him huge money. May not be at first, but over time, that cancer will eat away at a clubhouse and begin to tear it down.

I actually don't mind Philly, would hate to see that happen to you.

Sign a different OF'er, but I think Machado is a better buy for Philly. Still some decent OF'ers on the market I am sure. Melky Cabrera is available I think.

Interesting.....I too have had one of the two big free agent minds pegged since fall as a "possible team cancer"...but it hasn't been Harper that I have been pegging that to.

Harper at least got an offer from his former team.

Machado's former team knew they couldn't resign him, and sublet until the lease was up.

Being Reported you may have sold the Marlins on a deal pending physicals.

#27 Sanchez
#59 Bohm
Alfaro

Pretty hefty price. Alfaro and your top two prospects. Good player though. You have to sign him to an extension to make this worth doing.

Sounds like the deal. Don't love it at all.

Apparently Realmuto is buddies with harper.

I'm not crazy about this, but we gave up two guys that haven't pitched above Single A yet to swap catchers. I think Sanchez will be good, but Stewart started to fade down the stretch for Lakewood.

I liked where Alfaro was headed. But let’s face it....he wasn’t where Realmuto is yet.

Don’t know enough about the prospects to say. But they are clearly ready to win now.

I think part of the Realmuto signing was to provide more bait for Harper AND MAchado!!

So, allegedly the last two teams in on Harper are the Phillies and the Giants. Giants' offer is a short-term deal, which Harper has said he doesn't want to sign.
