He's been ejected 7 times already in his career and I think every time he's about to blow a blood vessel.

He is certainly a hot head. Yet I get a bullshit when I possibly say it could have been due to roids

Exactly how do you appeal a one game suspension?..........I say, let him appeal...... Tom Brady showed class and accepted his suspension........a little sarcasm there....

.I say, the league ought to reconsider......and say......
You know what, we we're wrong......You should have a five game suspension.......It would be called

It always sucks when the guy who's though he's gods gift to a sport ends up being pretty close to gods gift to a sport.

Eh...I think he's a douche, but I gotta say this one's a little more nuanced than "Bryce bein' a doosh."

On the ejection, Harper wasn't the only Nationals player or coach standing on the top step and yelling, it was basically the whole bench. The Umpire said "i couldn't eject everyone," and there had been an incident earlier in the game between Harper and the umps. So, Dude made a split decision to make an example out of their best player. I can imagine Bryce being a little miffed at being singled out when everyone was going nuts. But, you're not allowed to argue balls and strikes, sorry.

I also get that you can't return to the dugout or field after an ejection, but that's while the game is still being played, right? Like Short-bus said above, how long before you can come back after the game is over? Technically, i don't think he broke any rules there.

The main issue that I see is, he came out specifically to get in the Ump's face and swear at him...then, he said he didn't care if he got fined. So, a one-game suspension it is. The league pretty much HAS to suspend him, because you don't want any further situations where a player is showing such open contempt for the guys who enforce the rules during the game.

another useless suspension:suds:

Bryce Harper has dropped his appeal and will serve his one-game suspension Saturday night against the Marlins.

The Nats were probably planning to rest Harper for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader anyway so it makes sense for him to drop his appeal. He was banned one game for returning to the field after his ejection Monday against the Tigers. Chris Heisey will draw the start in right field and bat seventh. Harper went 0-for-2 with three walks and a steal in Game 1 of the double dip.

So by appealing it, what did he think was going to happen??...The one game suspension getting reduced to just 5 innings???

That's a clown appeal, Bro!
he appealed so he could pick what game he wanted off:suds:

How many games did John Farrell get for coming back on to the field Friday a week ago?

The talk was about Ortiz getting ejected and nothing about Farrell getting ejected the pitch before, but never leaving the dugout. And nothing about Farrell being the first one on the field to restrain Ortiz.

Harper is a douche that thinks he is above the game at times, but he got a raw deal on this one.
