A requirement for me to mention it more than once, is for you to try and claim things like "betting bank accounts", "Being a Marine who scored 92 on his ASVAB and served in Iraq and Afganistan", "owning a company with over 100 employees" and other such lies rather than just admitting you don't know where to use a comma or how to format paragraphs.

My contention is that, sadly, all HCs push the edge when it comes to recruiting to recruit the best possible teams. They use every tactic "within the rules" available. If it means ditching a player who has already enrolled because he's an injury risk, so be it. Right?

If it means holding off on a "commitment" because better players might be available, so be it. Right? If it means rescinding an offer because a player doesn't continue to measure up, so be it. Right?

On the other hand, players can commit and decommit right up through signing day, and hardly anyone blinks an eye. It's the process.

There is nothing sadder than the "the cool kids do it" defense. This isn't common. That is why it is a story.
I also think it is sad that you hold HC and Universities to the same standard as a 17-18 year old kid making a decision that will shape the rest of his life. There is difference between a grown man's word and a teenagers. HC also do this for a living. They do theough the process 20-25 times a year. Recruits go through it once. The rules should be changed. You should be able to sign your LOI anytime during your senior year. That should end a lot of this stuff.

I actually agree with this.. If a player wants to sign.. he should be able to sign after receiving an offer.

Forcing players to take medical hardships, cutting scholarships so late in the recruiting process so he will be forced to walk-on at Michhigan, skirting NCAA rules on summer camps. Michigan is just as dirty as every other program. You are a blind homer if you think otherwise.
