I'm not sure if this is a bigger setback to the run game or passing game, with Miller having settled nicely into the role of safety valve for Kaepernick.

I once said before on this board that I liked the cut of Marecic's jib, but jib and football ability are not the same thing.

The only potential bright spot out of this is it might force Roman to be a little more creative and get other guys involved and mix things up a little more.

Here's an idea: tryout Vance in the backfield in an H-Back role. It gets Vance on the field, and adds a decent pair of hands for those diamond pistol formations.

Instead of watching us get stuffed on 3rd and 1 by running it up the gut it might get Roman to go with a more creative call without Miller being in there.

Not saying Miller being injured is a good thing because it's not but I'm just hoping the is a silver lining to it.
