A new Safeway opened up near me, so spent the past hour politely scolding people for going the wrong way down the aisles

Left the staff alone - they are new, after all.Customers only or employees too? We have a grocery store chain here with one way aisles but they also offer curbside pickup so the employees go wherever they feel like compiling orders. After running into the same guy going the wrong way three aisles in a row, I got all passive aggressive and asked him to help me understand the directional signs. My Aunt Karen would have been proud.
The only store I've been in with aisles is Aldi... And you're probably in the minority if you're following the arrows.Customers only or employees too? I shop at mainly Aldi and Kroger for groceries. Aldi has them, but they aren't followed in the store I shop in. They aren't in Kroger. I don't recall seeing them at Menards, Target, or Dicks. I think those are the only other stores I've been in lately.for real? lol. I think every grocery store up here has one way aisle rules now.
Hell...Ive hiked loop trails in 3 different regional parks up here in my area and they are all marked one way

I don’t really get the one way aisles thing - I’m gonna have to go around the old guy comparing ketchup and catsup regardless, does it matter in which direction I do so?
The idea is that you shouldn't have to pass by people coming the other way, thereby making staying 6 feet apart easier. But like you said even if people do it, you will still have to slink past someone who is looking at the pickles like it's a bunch of small alien spacecraft.
