yes....and I considered it "anomalous" based on the rest of his MLB and minor league career...no such benefit with Nomar, who was a highly touted top 15 pick, flew through the minor leagues while being universally considered one of the best prospects in all of baseball, and then blazed onto the scene with one of the most impressive rookie seasons I've ever seen...

Of course, applying hindsight (since not a single fucking soul was discussing PEd's in baseball circa 1998), we know where the source of his talent came from...hindsight, by definition, doesn't change the perspective at the time...
