"BA/HR/RBI are all that matter to me, except when it doesn't suit my argument...let's talk INTANGIBLES BABY!!!!!"

:laugh3:

When you start lauding the career of Arod, I'll do the same for Nomar

He literally quit on that team and city

You should be ashamed of yourself

Ignore it? Laughable. You know why? Using the steroid card in general. Jeter was getting on base at a premium in the league in the 90s. Thats of course of Bernie, Tino, and Paul being roided up obviously.

And the day that happened, I hung up the "nomar > jeter" argument for good...but it doesn't change the fact that without the benefit of hindsight, and evaluating those time frames purely statistically...Nomar shat on Jeter...

Dirt is right

Really only fair to compare by age at this point

Since we don't know where Peddy will be at age 39 with his numbers...

Well we're really not supposed to be comparing them at all. I mean, Jeter is on the fucking YANKEES!!!!!

Because he was a juicer

I thought in here, that we typically don't praise cheaters when comparing players A and B

But juice aside, I agree

I never cared for Jeter in the 90s either. He was a good ball player, a great hitter. Its after the 2003 season and this whole captain nonsense, and Jeterisms began. "Plays the game the right way".

The fuck? And now Pedroia is getting the same treatment. Especially when you got a guy in the booth saying his contract is "great for baseball". Yeah, thats got Jeter's taint written all over it. It's true.

You really don't have a clue what the term hindsight means, do you?

This round of nomar vs. jeter started with Rock mentioning how much better Nomar was durring his prime than Jeter durring that same time period. He even said that it was before "we knew everything" and included verbage such as "steroids" in it.

No one is arguing who is considered today the better player...but...at that time? The ONLY peoiple who thought it was debatable? Resided in NYC...Nomar SHAT on him...it wasn't even fucking close...

Now, with the benefit of HINDSIGHT...we know it was all bullshit and roid inflated...

This is what's called cherry picking...

I'm shocked you'd do this.

"There's no doubt that from April 1985 through June 1986, Gooden shat on Clemens"

Yay!
