He would have to play longer than Jeter to hit Jeter Numbers...

and if he played that long, would have to able to keep that career OPS+ at or above 117

Remember OPS+ is league/season neutralized...

he's got an .804 OPS right now, which should correct back towards his mean of around .840...and his OPS+ is 118....

times have changed...with the league normalizing in the post steroid era, OPS's league wide has plummeted...he's got an excellent chance of sustaining an OPS + north of 120 for a while...

I think the 3,000 hits is going to be tough for him...he'd need to average about 190 per year from now until he's 39...doable..but unlikely...
