The Rangers said in the beginning they would only go 3 years. If they weren't willing to give Hamilton 5 years & another team was, then Josh can't be blamed for taking it. Should he have given the Rangers a chance to match? Maybe, but if he was already told by the Rangers they weren't going to give him 5 years what's the point?

I'm not saying what he did was right, but he's a free agent. This was obviously the best offer he's received. Who knows maybe the Angels told him if he contacted the Rangers in any way the offer would be pulled.

Im gonna say this. Angels if you think about it didnt get better. Losing Tori who put up a 5 WAR season Hamilton has only done it once. But while i think Hamilton is an upgrade its not a huge one. Angels also lost Greinke, Haren, Santana while Adding Tommy Hanson and in before the lolz joe freaking Blanton who is terrible. SO i'm not that mad about Josh going there, so there's that..

I'm mad that Josh left for the Angels, not mad that he took the best deal. I agree that Angels don't appear to be better than they were last year. Plus Josh doesn't do well in odd numbered years, so he will get the same treatment that Pujols got to start the year last year.

The man Josh portrayed himself to be was not reality. The whole "God" talk simply masked the fact that he was always selfish and never put the Rangers first. My guess is that the Angels will ultimately regret signing him.

this is what burns me really more than him signing somewhere else....his whole God song and dance that I fell for. His picture is beside Hypocrisy in the dictionary. If a guy is a douche bag and makes no bones about it, for example, Dustin Pedoria, then I would have no problem because at least i know what Im either liking or disliking. With Hamilton we got all that BS that he never backed up.

Scott whats his name on ESPN radio said he or someone he knew spoke with a close friend of Hamilton and this friend said Hamilton wanted to go somewhere where he didnt have to be the man....in another words, he doesnt want any sort of pressure. We all got to witness how he handles pressure last season
