He's an UFA. He doesn't have to do any favors for any team. Hamilton doesn't owe the Rangers anything. They paid him his contract & he played very well for them. Apparently the Rangers offered him 4 years 100M. He got a better offer.

I completely understand why Rangers fans would be upset about Hamilton signing somewhere else, especially the Angels. He flourished their & became one of the most popular athletes in the state. Unfortunately the business part of the game has changed things.

JD said this morning on the ticket that somehow that was out there but never ever agreed upon and that he didn't expect to be able to "match" any offer. He said you can't expect Josh to tell the LAA to wait i need to call the Rangers. Said more than likely it was a take it or leave it offer but no contact with anyone. Can't blame Josh at all for taking the best offer he was given.
