It was a really good game for the most part. I think the Ags put up one hell of a fight. Bama is just too good. There aren’t too many teams that can compete with them. I felt like they were still in it until Rogers got the stupid PF penalty for talking shit to the ref. Kind of snowballed from there.
Oddly, I saw a lot of positives on our side. There are a few young players that are going to be pretty damn good after a couple of years in the system. The team as a whole will improve if Jimbo continues to recruit well and build depth.
Saban had a big head start. He’s had the #1 class every year for over a decade. The players at Bama are just flat out better. Every 4-5* skill position has 2 more 4-5* kids behind them. It’s going to take a couple more years to build that kind of depth.
I came into the season knowing it was going to be a struggle to even get to a bowl game. I’m just hoping we beat the Mississippi teams at this point.
