I disagree. I think Brady is still every bit a top 10 player. People are knocking him now because he's not putting up video game numbers anymore (same people who knock Wilson as a "game manager") But year in year out there NE is in the playoffs, Mainly because of Brady.

Me too when you lose your top 5 receivers from the last year, and your special teams specialist becomes your no#1 receiver, you know u have little help. Imagine if Brady and Wilson had the receivers Broncos and SF had wow

How is Rodgers not a top 10 player in the NFL. List automatically invalid.

Rodgers should be top 10 before both Brady and Brees.

Yep. Jimmy Graham ahead of Rodgers as well? To be honest i've always agreed with Skip Bayless that the QB position is the most important in the NFL. Manning, Rodgers, Brees and Brady should all be in the top 5 just due to sheer importance.

He was injured. Thats the only logic I can think of

He missed almost half the year, he got plenty of love considering he was holding clipboard for seven games last year.

The list is supposed to be what you think the players will do the next year not how they performed this year. If I was a player Rodgers goes to the top of my list every year as I would suspect if he is healthy all year he will finish top-3 every time for MVP.

Look at the title...It is Top-100 players of 2014 not 2013 season. So if we are only going to count what a player has done in 2014 then you can only count those who made the playoffs. Pretty sure I see quite a few players on this list that didn't make the playoffs.

I don't care what the year on title says, thats just the year that they are presenting the list. Its voted for at the end of the year and they are going off of the last season. Watch the show and they talk about it all the time. They always say "he was great this year", they dont say "he'll be great next year because...".

A couple years ago after Manning was out for the year they put him at 100. And I specifically remember them saying that it was because he is so great that his absence had à large effect on the league in THAT YEAR. If it was truly à projection for the next year, no way would he be at #100.

Understandable but they have debated this in years past as players have been confused on this very topic. They try to tell players that it is what they think a player will do the next year not so much what they did the year before. Obviously though voting will be based on what they saw or heard from the year before or by name recognition. I'm just telling you what they actually tell the players when they are handed this ballot in that it is truly is supposed to be the rank they would put the player in for the next season. Hence why it is called "Top 100 players of 2014"
