You Cant Handle the Truth

UCLA has more than two months and nine games before facing crosstown rival USC, yet the Trojans are already at the forefront of Bruins WR Shaq Evans’ mind.
“Knowing that we’re going to beat them again this year … especially two years ago when they beat us 50-0, we owe them a little bit,” Evans said during an interview with ESPN Radio’s Los Angeles affiliate on Wednesday. “This year, we’re going to try to embarrass them, honestly. They’re struggling. It’s just awesome to see that. I hate them. So I’m just loving it.”
Yes, Evans is pretty cocky considering that UCLA’s victory over USC last year was only the second time the Bruins have beaten the Trojans since 1998.
USC counterpart Marqise Lee didn’t take kindly to these fighting words. Rather than responding with a barb of his own, however, he pulled a veteran move: Sending a screenshot of Evans’ quote to teammates in a mass text for motivation.
