^^^^I've tilled in the first round of compost. Plants go in next week and I still have a lot of work ahead to get the ground plant ready. It's getting there though.

I didn't like the lack of consistency of ground quality between the different rows so I decided to plow out the rows one more time and add in more compost.

Post 27 is the row being dug out.

Post 28 is the compost going back in.

I'll cover that and re-till it all together and should have a decent product at that point....ready for planting.

Yeah man....getting there. It's not a perfect science. After selecting a picture, most times I don't get the option to upload the full image or thumbnail. But I keep trying and eventually the gods feel sorry for me.

Plants went in the ground on 2 and 3 June.

Some of the plants are doing well. This variety is called Centennial.

This is Fuggle. It's not doing as well but they are still holding their own.

They had a slow start but I think this row is starting to take hold.

The Cascade is struggling big time. At first I thought I was going to see losses in excess of 50 percent, but maybe they've turned a corner.
