I remember you "Underdog"!

I'm glad Plunkett made it in the "Fan Vote" category. He's the reason I picked the Patriots as my team back in the 3rd grade. Read a short book about him. Loved the Patriots logo and colors. Been a fan for almost 40 years now.

41 years for me. I loved Grogan. Tough - very tough.....

grogan was better atleast grogan could scramble instead of being dead meat stiff who couldnt move in the pocket to avoid hits

Plunkett pretty much had two modes: Under-perform; and Over-perform. He was a fun guy to watch when he was over-performing. He never did that for the Pats.

I too was to young when he played here other than to remember his name. I was starting to understand football at the time of his trade. Then a few years later after barely hanging on to the Raiders roster he caught fire and he was fun... Can't forget that lob bomb he had... No way it should have worked... but it did.

Drew was tough. He played with a pin sticking out of his finger. Hell, I damn near cry if I have a hang nail and bump my finger on something.

GroganGrogan didn't think... He played. Bledsoe couldn't pay without over thinking... The two were as opposite as they come.

Bledsoe was faster than Brady. His instincts were not fast enough.

I like Drew the person and liked Drew the QB. He had a strong start to his career, peaked quickly, then slid into a long, slow decline... Or had a quick decline that he held steady.... In the end his total career was a disappointment, and not because Brady showed him up.

Yep in his prime he was great. But he really sucked at the end.

So, would Drew have finished better if he had not gone to the dumpster in Buffalo?

Drew was toast before Buffaloe. Drew never assessed himself to improve his game. Drew always tried to put a pass where it couldn't fit. Instead of learning and putting it somewhere else he tried even harder to put it where there wasn't room.

With Grogan, his ability to run and his grit made him difficult to defend. His passing was underated. As he aged his knees gave out leaving him his passing skills and grit, but he was easier to defend.

Grogan>>Bledsoe because grit matters. If you choose a small window less than career then Bledose>>Grogan.
