How would you like to be a Jets fan nowadays? Since writing his resignation letter to them on a cocktail napkin in 2000, all BB has done is win 16 division titles, 9 conference championships and 6 SB's. That's gotta sting :heh:
The Jets are probably the most dysfunctional team in the NFL.

6 in 18 years. Lombardi 5 in 7 years.

* Lombardi's were not SB but Championships.

Demerits for pre free agency and no salary cap.

Remind us how many HCs have 6 SBs.

Yeah I can see where taking 6 years to get #1 really tarnished his career.

I don't think you go wrong either way with Lombardi or Belichick. I personally have Lombardi first and think he would have won more if he didn't die so young. Belichick has been kinds like a Phil Jackson of the NFL, having a Jordan or Brady will make you look great.

At least you are honest sonny, I can't say the same for some other Patriots fans.

It's subjective Guns and everybody is entitled to their opinion the same way you are with Rodgers. I like Bill but need him to show me it's more than TB12 to his success. 8 years as HC w/o #12 only 1 playoff game. Started of 5-13 here and then wins 3 SB's in next 4 years with same team, but not with Bledsoe and then misses playoffs in 08, with 7 less wins than 07, having a weaker schedule and scoring 200 pts less.

I would tweak it like this for the top 5:

1. - BB
2. - Vince
3.- Walsh
4.- Noll
5.- Brown

BB to me has left everyone else in the dust.
Walsh to me could've gone on to win a lot more if health wasn't a factor.

Besides getting caught GnGing consistently this is why no one can take you seriously.

It was an opinion by Sonny. Just like others here are voicing. It's not right or wrong, it's an opinion.

Belichick has been kinds like a Phil Jackson of the NFL, having a Jordan or Brady will make you look great.
Brady deserves a lot of credit but Belichick has dismantled almost every type of top team imaginable throughout the years.

Greatest Show on Turf?
Rivers/Tomlinson/Gates in their prime?
Peyton/Harrison/Wayne?
McNabb and the best Eagles team?
Steelers and a 15-1 team?
Legion of Boom?
Mahomes/Hill/Kelce/Hunt?

As good as Brady is, MJ never failed once he got the appropriate pieces. The Eagles loss and Giants losses are not something that MJ would've ever experienced.

Yeah MJ would've never let Graham steal the ball from him......
Leborn would've then fell down looking for a foul

He coached up a scrub and got 11 wins out of him.

What other QB's did Lombardi have during his run?

Zeke 1 game Bart Starr, the rest. His players didn't quit because of a boo-boo. :)

No players back then quit because of a boo boo. If they had they would have found themselves standing next to their dad at the local factory.

Two different eras and two very different styles of play combined with the zero player movement vs free agency/salary cap dynamic make it difficult to do a direct comparison.

He did what a great coach must. Get his players to buy into his vision.
