I was there. Lupica was a clown (Stoops called him a 'fiction writer') because OU essentially did nothing but handoff and run between tackles the entire 2nd half. No forward passes, and ballcarriers were falling down after picking up 1st downs.

My favorite part of that was when we ran the ball the entire 2nd half and ran a fullback dive with the 2nd string fullback on 3rd and goal and you’d think the db who made the stop just won a National championship based on his reaction.
I remember they lead of Sportscenter that day showing showing this play, then pausing it and circling the 77-0 score in the same shot.

South Carolina tried to show they were badasses and make up for 63-17 the year before by starting shit at the base of the hill as the Tigers came down. On the opening kickoff a real badass, David Dunham, popped Shamecock return man Corey Boyd at the 15 causing a fumble we recovered inside the 10 and we didn't look back. We whipped their asses all over the field for a second year and they lost their cool when their last ditch effort to get in the game ended.
