It makes sense. Especially since the NFL loaned the SF $200 mil for the stadium. There is no reason why 2 teams in the same region can't share a stadium.
Loaned. As in the Niners will pay it back with interest.
The reason they shouldn't share the stadium is so that it doesn't still stink from Raider fans when the Niners play.
The NFL won't even allow the Niners & Raiders to play each other in the preseason. Sharing a stadium would just be stupid.
Oh, and Goodell might've wanted to have mentioned this idea before the stadium was built.
The Raiders can go back to LA for all I care. Or even out of state.

Is that really what he said? I thought he said Oakland has to decide if they want to share Levi's or build their own. I didn't get the impression he was pushing them in any direction.
How do you know that there wasn't a discussion beforehand? Having one teams play at home while the other is on the road is to easy schedule, so that the fans of each team wouldn't cross each other there.
to me, it doesn't make sense for them to share. 1 team is in San Francisco, 1 team is in Oakland. 2 different cities, they should get their own stadiums.
The NY Giants & Jets of NJ disagree. SF & Oak are geographically close enough to share a stadium.
Does the city of Santa Clara get a say? Having Niner fans come down eight times a year would be good for the community, spur business and promote overall community well-being. It's like having eight extra birthdays.
Adding Raider fans eight times a year is like getting getting kicked in the nuts and mugged eight times. They can't be happy about that.
Decide? As in the Niners have no say in this? As in they're welcome to share it if they decide to?
I had no idea this is to what the Niners agreed when the stadium construction began.
SF & Oak are geographically close enough to share a stadium.
But they're not genetically close enough to share a stadium as Raider fans clearly have some possum DNA in them.
