the cubs won the world series which elated me as a long time fan,but if the commanders win the sb with the name commanders as a lifelong fan to me now it would just be ok with that damn name.
I've tried. The burgundy on burgundy isn't terrible but I saw this team win three SBs in a different uni.the uni's are taking time to get used to. No doubt. Im saying you had to expect a military name. they could have done a better job with the uniforms. The W helmet im ok with. All teams have a 3rd alternate jersey.
i remember those games like they happened yesterday i remember my dad jumping up on that 44 yard run by riggins especially.I've tried. The burgundy on burgundy isn't terrible but I saw this team win three SBs in a different uni.
First year I ever watched football. 1982.....7 years old. My dad drove my mom and all seven of us from Ft. Washington to his friends house in Oxon Hill. About 15 of us gathered around a wooden floor model TV.i remember those games like they happened yesterday i remember my dad jumping up on that 44 yard run by riggins especially.
I ain’t buying shitperfect example on how winning changes everything.

Riggins broke it and we went crazy. I still have the image of John with the oxygen mask after that run.
I was a youngerster when lived in Maryland. Mostly grew up in Alexandria. Route 1 and GW PKWY. Did live in Springfield for a couple of years, but yeah have friends and family all over the DMV or as we old heads used to call it the Metropolitan area.District Heights, went to Suitland. Fished out of Piscataway and Mattawoman Creek many times.
One brother lived in the apartments right off of Livingston. My youngest brother played ice hockey at Tucker Road.
Haha......now it all makes sense.I was a PG County kid from the time we moved to MD ... before that I lived in the city of Philadelphia ..... now live way down Route 4.
lolimho
When I was a youngster, I lived in Chesapeake Bay, MD for several years before my parents moved us to Alexandria off Rt 1. My oldest brother and I went to Hybla Elem School together for 1 year in 1976. Nellie B. Quander was the principal. He then went to Walt Wittman HS and I stayed at HV. We both played football for SYA which has been around over 50 years now.I was a youngerster when lived in Maryland. Mostly grew up in Alexandria. Route 1 and GW PKWY. Growing up Potomac HS was all I knew. When did West Potomac get built?I'm mostly just a little Fairfax County kid that grew up on military bases and graduated from West Potomac.
That's crazy. They combined two High Schools Groveton and Ft. Hunt in 1985 to make West Potomac. It's located on Quander rd. I miss DC so much. Houston is cool but it ain't home. When I was a youngster, I lived in Chesapeake Bay, MD for several years before my parents moved us to Alexandria off Rt 1.
