Five Bears storylines to watch in free agency

The writer brings up some important questions concerning the Bears so far in this offseason, such as a potential Howard trade, cap issues, and our two key free agents.
Well, it looks like Amos is as good as gone. Collins got a 6 year 84 million dollar contract and Mathieu got a 3 year 42 million dollar contract. Amos is probably next up.

Let Amos and Callahan walk. Amos isn't that good anyway and Callahan is too injury prone. We can do better in the draft.

Ha...

Amos grades out as one of the best defensive players in the entire NFL on PFF and football outsiders. But that ole genius eye test... I do suppose. That eye test watching that TV angle of the camera following the ball and the QB. Surely, you can see more than the coaches film.

As I alluded to in another post, I've gone from being certain that we'd sign at least one of either Amos or Callahan, to where I'm becoming more and more convinced that both will walk, mainly because of the incredible offers other FAs in their respective positions are receiving.

PFF overrates him vastly. He’s good, but he wasn’t even our third best DB last year. We will see how he does on a less talented defense.

Last year was a down year compared to 2017. Where he was the single best strong safety in the NFL. Last year he was just "good".
