10 rounds of 18 holes taking 2 hours each would be 20 hours. He would need an empty golf course to do this in 18 hours and be running from shot to shot.

If it were me & the rd were going South I would turn my focus towards drinking.

The travel group I played with this year...totally different...only 18 a day, but all were morning rounds so you could get in another 9, 18 if you wanted...+3 pickup, 1st two rounds flighted the final tourney round so you were playing against guy that played like you did...they had skins going...you had to really play terrible not to have fun with their format. The only change I would make to it...2 tourney rounds instead of 1. Most of these guys were 50+ y/o.

We were brutal in comparison when I look back on it now, but I didn't make the rules or the format. It took me 4 tries to win it, but I won it 10 times in a row after that including the last one so I still have the trophy today... I guess I had fun regardless. I will say though we played some great courses around the country...most were all on the Golf Digest top 100 you can play when we played them.
