used to play that course a lot when i lived in oakland gardens... fun times...

It gets a lot of traffic but it's very well maintained. I just hate getting behind a group of four who want to line up every putt and don't let you play through. It's not Winged Foot, guys.

Oh my goodness. I misread your post. Anyone who shoots his age or close to it, that is very impressive.

the real problem with that course, which included me and my friends when we played there, we were the ones that carried a cooler with us...

even though i am a yankee fan, there was nothing more enjoyable than going to a mets game and then walking over to pitch and putt...

Heh heh...haven't seen that as much this summer. They sell cans at the office but I have a hard time carrying my clubs and a drink, so I pass.

That's a lot of fun, we go early, rent clubs so we don't have to stash ours, then walk over to the game in the afternoon. It gets REAL jammed on game days. This is from the 14th hole, I think:

Yea. I go often. Only once so far this year. And they are going to be closed during the us open.

But I love it. You should go. Sure you will love it. And it is summer, doesn’t get dark until 8. Get there when it opens at 5 and leave before 7. I highly recommend it.
