He played his role on the defense well, which was to stay up tight and filter him into the trap. Let's not talk like this was some 1 on 1 thing because it was a team effort. Curry would torch him if the Cavs left Delly on an island on defense.

Nobody is saying it was just a 1 on 1 thing. He did exactly what needed to be done to shut Curry down, something that hasn't happened often this year.

The original statement was that Delly outplayed Curry. That's even ridiculous to consider give the roles of the two guys and how the teams plan their defenses. Call me a hater, but I don't think too much time was spent by the W's trying to figure out how they could stop Delly.

The defiantly need to make adjustments. They learned there lesson that with kyrie out it will still be a dogfight.

I'm kind of glad that the Cavs got that game. They really did get screwed a few times more on bad calls and etc. That kind of levels it out and Cav fans won't be able to bitch about that game. I still think the Warriors can win this series though

What a crazy game! It's hard to predict what happens next in this series. LeBron was Mr. Everything again and the Cavs took this one. Congrats to them. The Warriors played like crap again, but when it happens two times in row, at some point you have to start thinking that it's because the Cavaliers are causing them to play like crap. Can't wait for Tuesday.

Even rockets fans admitted he was ass lol and Conley only missed one game

I don't remember saying that... It probably wouldn't have got them a series win, but throwing two 35+ year old point guards out there instead of Beverley is relevant.

Didn't watch. ESPN is re-running the game, so I picked it up in the middle of overtime. The refs are terrible. Reminded me why I no longer watch the NBA.

Lebron has been shit shooting the ball this series for sure......but when GSW is also struggling to score it really isn't that big of a deal. If GSW ever get their offense rolling, LBJ poor shooting will likely lead to easy Warriors wins

Just pointing it out to the
Steph went 0-8 with delly on him..
Overall, he was 5 of 23. He had an off shooting night all the way around. I don't think Delly had much to do with it.

W is all that matters. Cavs now with HCA.

Cavs played an outstanding 3.75 quarters... then did what they've done so many times in these playoffs... gave up big lead late in the game. Scrapped it out in OT with a lot of obstacles to overcome.

People that called the Bulls-Cavs and Hawks-Cavs series ugly... people that called this game ugly... a significant portion of that is the Cavs defense and controlling the pace of the game. How many games do they have to do that before people consider the Cavs defense rather than "well the hawks/bulls/warriors just missed shots they normally make"?

All that said, these Warriors are the real deal and no way Curry and Green both play that awful in the same game again. Cavs need to be better next game. Good thing they're going home!

This is probably the most idiotic thing I've read, ironically enough it's from "the smartest man on SportsHoopla".

There aren't going to be any "easy Warriors wins" in this series. It's not a coincidence that GS is struggling to score all of the sudden. The Cavs have become an elite defensive team this year in the playoffs. We won because of it last night and all but won game 1 because of it.

It's not a coincidence that Curry, the record-breaking 3 point shooter who was shooting between 40-49% from 3 in every other playoff series, is shooting 4/21 from 3 in the Finals. He can't get good looks like he does against everyone else.

Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson actually shot well last night, and as a team they shot better than Cleveland. However, it doesn't matter when we're outrebounding them and playing better defense.

If you think this is just some funk GS is in that they're suddenly going to snap out of, you have a lot left to learn. Even though they're from the East, Cleveland is the best defensive team GS has faced in the postseason.

I will say, the shit with Green holding guys down twice on jump balls, I don't know how refs can miss stuff like that. There were a few other times where the announcers even said "could've easily called a foul there" when the Cavs had the ball.
Please stop. I couldnt believe the calls made (actually I can) against the Ws. The replays showed Ws barely touching LeBron and him CLEARLY elbowing/pushing off on defenders in the replays and the announcers crying about how LeBron shouldve gotten a foul. Hes allowed to do as he pleases but the moment he doesnt get a call, he cries like a bitch.
Any team with LeBron, DWade or Harden should EVER cry about refs. Its these types of players that get away with so much shit in this game, its unwatchable.

Haha, I'll chalk this up to you wearing blue and yellow shades. Take a look at Lebron when he drives to the basket. 8/10 times he is fouled, like a foul that is regularly called on other players. It's been noted in Cavs games several times throughout the playoffs. The dude gets abused because players know that it's the only way to stop him most of the time.

The things with Green were absolute bullshit with no gray area. Clear violations that aren't called.

I'll agree that Cleveland's D should be given credit but they've faced Memphis as well who weren't that bad defensively as well. But, you're trippin if you think that good D is the main reason why Warriors were shooting badly. Its no different than Cleveland not getting their shots in.

Cleveland has done a great job dfending Steph. Their frustrating him, trapping him early and often and being super aggressive. Their quick to close the passing lanes. Ive said it before, Ws offense is a bit overrated, the only true scorer in that team with versatility is Steph and even he's limited because of his size and lack of athleticism.

tonight was a great win for them. GS also played a really bad game. it was one of those ugly games. It was very entertaining.

But the Cavs did play well themselves, Lebron shot bad, they missed free throws. It was a defensive battle.

eh, i'm STILL thinking the W's take this one in 6, but I DO agree with what you say about Delly/Curry. i'm thinking that better NOT happen again...

Ohh yah it's one game. I just liked the way they played defensive missing open shots or not. Cavs missed open shots too, Lebron had a lot of easy chances that just didnt fall also.
