They don't.
They can't.
Events like the Finals require tons of non game coordination.

Exactly.
Hotels are the biggest reason.
The number of rooms needed to accommodate everyone involved is mind boggling.

Miami, for example, probably has as many or close to as many hotels as any NBA market, but can't host the all star game because a huge boat show is scheduled here that same week every year which has blocks and blocks of hotels rooms locked up.

But, but, but.......purguy says it happens all of the time and he's never wrong.

i think we were talking about post season not just finals. the only thing i found is that this is the longest lay over in finals history.

i cant find anything. i guess u might be right. closes i found was its not uncmmon to change dates but it doesnt mention anything about post season. i just found mulitple articles saying the system is broken.

i guess u were right. my bad.

No worries. I wish it could happen. Not sure how to fix it though. They kind of have to plan them as if each series will go 7 games.

He hasnt been the same since his 'train wreck' season ended.

Seriously though, I've seen concerts rescheduled, but the Finals always has a set start date which does not change.
Series leading up to the Finals are semi flexible depending on how fast the series end.
I think he's just mixing up the 2 scenarios.

Hey the 2011 Mavs were one of the worst... and they beat the 2011 Heat who were one of the best.

Also... the metric uses full regular season roster.... we all know the post-January Cavs are a completely different animal from pre-January Cavs.

The 2011 Heat were not one of the best. We're talking about Mike Bibby and Big Z being the starting point guard and center respectively for the Heat. Haslem was out for a majority of the year as well as Mike Miller. There was next to nothing as far as a bench goes.

I think it was so high on Lebron teams bc Wade was still in the last of his prime and Bosh was too. Role players probably werent better but the big 3 was legit

I know.
Post season doesn't change dates once they are set.
They just have different start dates as possibilities depending on how the series play out.
It's all about the money, and they want the most games on during prime time.

Jeez.
I remember how happy I was when we got Bibby.
Arroyo was actually better.

So I just read an article on NBA Game Time about Kyrie & his magical recovery from tendinitis. LOL. "We're just hoping he can play" is a pretty good indication he ain't cured or even close to 80%. SMH

Warriors in 5???? LOL

I agree. I just disagree with the premise that the 2011 Heat was such a great team; it wasn't. I was mildly surprised to make it past the Celtics and Bulls in 5. But you do raise a good point. Wade was at the point where some were questioning who was the best player on the team between Wade and Lebron at the time.

I saw that too. I really question if he has tendinitis right now. He shouldn't be bothered by it this much, especially with well over a week to recover. I seriously question the Cleveland coaching staff for even playing him in game 4 of the conference finals.

Yea I'm sure if they lose we'll hear what's really going on. I had to post since someone here argued me down that he'd pretty much be healed in a week & back to his normal self.

The NBA will just continually flunk Klay on his concussion test or the refs will turn a blind eye when Delly goes all Ronda Rousey on Curry in game 1.

Problem solved!
