Kyrie said he will start on Curry. I imagine when Curry starts to score then they will put Shumpert on him. Then Shumpert will start out on Klay.

The anticipation makes it even more hyped. Just like the Super Bowl, they wait 2 weeks. This is barely going to be a week, it isnt that bad lol.
Its been about 10 days its bad for the NBA. NFL we know its in 2 weeks and they only play 1 game a week anyways. both teams should of got 3 days rest the most. Game should of been played on the weekend. This is the longest wait ever for the NBA so its not common.

It wouldn't shock me if the ratings are down this year but having LBJ in the Finals helps.

This is a pure fact that this hurts the NBA. I know how to run a business I have one. Moving up the date would help the NBA. NBA should not have set dates because no city knows who will be in it so it does not affect hotels or Flights. They could of at least moved it up to Tue. I would of done sat or Sunday. Starting on the weekend would of been great for the NBA. having this long of a lay off should hurt. To be honest ESPN isn't even talking about basketball as much as they should if the game were going on already. NHL is booming right now.

Again this is not like the Super Bowl. Like I said I kind of forgot about the NBA already.

And what about people who already purchased tickets with a June 4th start date and maybe have to work or have other commitments that prevent them from being able to attend at an earlier date?

GS had their last game on Wednesday. It is has been a week. What is the difference between 5 days or 7 days. This actually benefits both teams. Klay gets to heal of from concussion, and hopefully Kyrie heals up from his injuries.

Not just tickets to the game - airline tickets, hotel reservations, TV schedules, security, et cetera, et cetera. Lots of shit would need to be changed. purguy acts as if it's as simple as moving a little league baseball game up a few days.

No major sport shifts the start dates of their playoff series. In fact, the idea is so fucking stupid, we shouldn't even be addressing it.

That's what I said earlier, but he just doesnt understand. They had to wait until GS-Houston to actually change the date, if they ever actually thought about it, and Cleveland fans most likely already had their tickets. There was nothing the NBA could do, that would of hurt them more if fans were upset bc they changed the date.

I understand the point purguy is making and let's face it, we all are chomping at the bit for the finals to get started. There are posters with vcash on the line for crying out loud.

But, as Slinky pointed out, this isn't moving around a little league game. When considering the cost of game tickets and in some cases airline tickets and hotels, some people have dropped a couple grand or more on these games. It would be a logistical and PR nightmare for the NBA to move the date.

Absolutely. The thought of why he or us all would want to eliminate the off days makes sense. The realities of eliminating some of them does not.

Yes u live in the moment and Im a big time NBA fan. I have missed 3 games this post season. My team has been out since 2nd rd. U have this great match up coming up with GS vs Cavs and u have to wait what 10 days. that is crazy, its NBA playoffs. Its suppose to be battle through out. In my opinion and most this wait sucks for the fans. NBA really screwed up I mean the NBA heads alrready said this is not ideal and they were close to moving the date up. Remember the saying 32 games in 32 days(something like that) These playoffs had more days off then any other.

You had to wait a week. The Warriors closed out last Wednesday. The Stanley Cup Finals are in the same situation as well (although their conference finals went 7). You're complaining about nothing. It's in 2 days, can you not wait 2 more days? Fuck, it's like dealing with a kid on Christmas.

Yep... and we're not just talking game tickets. Plane tickets and hotels as well.

Yes. The Lakers. They beat the Cavs in 4 straight. Lebron was so embarrassed about getting destroyed by 36 year old Kobe that he retired and took a job as Kobe's personal assistant.

Wiggy and Shane became "Kobe kids" at halftime of game 2 and swear they've been Lakers fans their whole lives.

Reports on whether or not Kobe actually calls Lebron "bitch" are unsubstantiated at this time. :heh:

ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND

then you woke up.

Just think who Lebron had on his team in his younger Cleveland days: Daniel Gibson, Sasha Pavlovic, Delonte West and Jamario Moon, and they are all out of the NBA right now.

...and he said that he's such a huge basketball fan that he's watched 72 of the 75 NBA playoffs games thus far, yet because of a few days off, he "kind of forgot about the NBA already." So it's like dealing with a kid on Christmas who has ADHD.

He says he runs a business, though.

Yeah, Big Z made the All-Star reserve squad I think once and Mo made it once or twice. That was the Big 3 back then lol
