phoenix gm wins it hands down. i said before that they did the best job at the deadline and they definately did. the amount of talent on that team for the money they spent is amazing.

to me, he's still just the asshole that fucked up the gretzky to vancouver deal at the last minute.*
ownership panicked, and offered the same deal to Messier. and thus began the dark years.


*Gretz had agreed, and said he would sign the docs in the morning. McPhee pestered him until he finally gave 99 a now-or-never ultimatum.
Gretz (understandably) said piss off, and went to St Lou instead.
